Uitwisseling LUCA & St.Joost

At the end of 2024 I partook in an Exhange between the schools: LUCA Sint-Lucas in Gent and St. Joost School of Art & Design in Breda. for 3 days we stayed in Gent and learned more about the A2 riso printer they have there. And then a few weeks later we would experimented with the letterpress we have in Breda. The theme that surrounded the exchange was: ‘Myths and Legends’ And I made a project surrounding the last book of the Bible; Revelation and the prophecies described in that chapter.

First I made a drawing with ink, watercolor and pencil. I scanned that, put it together digitally and printed it as a A2 poster with a fluor pink a black layer using the A2 risoprinter in Gent. In Breda I used the letterpress to press words on the backside of the poster. I folded the poster to an A4 and made a binder using riso.
The icons used for the binder were made by lino.

Workshop Screenprinting

At St.Joost I worked on a design to test out screenprinting. The illustration is based of celtic designs and of Kren, a fox god in a D&D campaign I play with some friends.

During the workshop we learned the basics of screenprinting. I printed the design on different types of paper with three different colors; orange, red and brown. This created a nice gradient throughout the prints.
